Iran is Controlling Iraq

The recent years in Iraq have seen grinding effort to create state linked to Iran by all means. Iraq is the long awaited treasure to Iran. From the dawn of history, the land of Mesopotamia had been the crown of the Persian Empire. That did not change after the 1979 revolution. The only thing that changed was the way Iran chooses to sell their expansion. Using religion propaganda Iran deliberately and systematically altered the very fabric of Iraqi society and by the help of its loyal soldiers and servant in Iraq, Iran got to control almost every aspect of Iraq. The question is not whether Iraq is under the control of Iran but why U.S allowed such thing to happened? U.S had Iraq under control especially after the surge in 2008 but what happened after that? With the existing of U.S Army in Iraq and the willing to pull out of Iraq arises during President Obama election campaign, the U.S foreign policy found itself in very awkward position. Soon after the 2008 election the Obama administration started to rush out of Iraq creating a vacuum that Iran and others saw very lead the race. Iran started to ramp up it's existent and its direct influence using all kind of ways. The reaction was later to be formed by the rest of Iraqis who sees Iran and anything that represent it as an enemy. The Iraqi government was hijack by a group of people who have tremendous ties to Iran. After 2011 when the U.S pulled out of Iraq the real game of controlling Iraq and transform it into a launching base to create chaos and destabilizing the middle east began. The creation of ISIS would not have happened without the existence of the welcoming environment that the very Iraqi Government created with its sectarian and sinister agenda that favors everyone who excepts Iran as the new Iraqi ruler and eradicates anyone who is against that. With the existent of ISIS in Iraq it was the perfect time for Iran to go full force in Iraq in backing the Mobilization Force and get them ready for a fight against ISIS but the real agenda was to create well-organized forces based on Iranian style and loyal to it that can easily defeat the week Iraqi forces it there is one. The only way to train these forces was to get them to fight against radical attack so that they can be with the use of religion easily mobilized. Iraq is a long failing state and the International community is unwilling to admit that. According to Lucas Tomlinson, “As many as 100,000 Iranian-backed Shiite militia are now fighting on the ground in Iraq, according to U.S. military officials -- raising concerns that should the Islamic State be defeated, it may only be replaced by another anti-American force that fuels further sectarian violence in the region.”

“The effect of the Obama administration’s policy has been to replace American boots on the ground with the Iranian’s. As Iran advances, one anti-American actor is being replaced with another,” Thomas Joscelyn, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said in a recent phone interview. According to the Lucas Tomlinson, “The Iranian-backed group has claimed responsibility for over 6,000 attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq since 2006 and operates under the supervision of Soleimani, according to a report by the Institute for the Study of War. Meanwhile, there are more indications that Russia and Iran are expanding their military ties. The U.S. military has confirmed that Russian bombers flying from a base in Iran have bombed three areas in Syria. In addition to the up to 100,000 Iranian-backed forces in Iraq, there are thousands of Iranian-backed forces in Syria as well in support of President Bashar al-Assad. Some of these Iranian-backed forces come from as far as Afghanistan and hundreds have recently died to fight Syrian rebels in the city of Aleppo, according to recent reports.”

In conclusion

Iraq will continually be in a state of chaos with the existence of weak Iraqi representatives who willing to obeisance Iran and do its wishes. This will create a reaction in the other Iraqi society fabrics who sees Iran as an enemy and not a friend. Moreover, the U.S has to listen to some of its people in the state department and the intelligence community and go back with realistic play that has one goal which is to win Iraq politically once and for all in order to table the region because Iran now is using Iraq to supply Syria conflict and preparing Iraq to be the ground battery to future conflict with Saudi Arabia.
